"But you will recieve power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem (community), and in Judea (state), and Samaria (country), and to the ends of the earth (world)." Acts 1:8
The purpose of missions at Providence Classical Christian School is to glorify God and partner with families in educating and inspiring their children to impact their community, state, country, and world for Jesus Christ. We are stewards of God’s truth. Jesus Himself gave these instructions to all His followers, “As my father hath sent me, even so I send you” John 20:21. Missions are God’s way of telling others that His Son came to earth to live, die, and rise again for their salvation.
Our goal at Providence is that our students would not fall into spiritual complacency. The desire for the missions program is to present missions in an exciting, interesting, upbeat way while impressing young minds with the need and responsibility to serve God as witnesses. Each student at Providence has been educated on biblical truth. With this education we want the student to have a heart- felt desire to use this knowledge of Jesus Christ to tell others about His love for them. As a school we are blessed to be able to have the privilege and opportunity to include the message of missions to our students. We are God’s missionaries to our children and our students.
We are excited to have Mrs. Linda Miller as a part of the mission’s program. Mrs. Miller is volunteering her time to be the leader over the middle and high school missions program. Mrs. Miller is the grandmother of Lainey and Miller Gable who attend Providence in the grammar school. She has served in missions for over 25 years. She was Director of Missions in a local church in Covington for 8 years and has recently retired. Mrs. Miller has a wealth of knowledge and is excited to be a part of advancing the missions program. We are honored to have her a part of this team.
